The Contact Form 7 widget by Atomic Addons shows a form you built with the Contact Form 7 plugin and lets you style it in Elementor. You keep building the form, its emails and messages in Contact Form 7; the widget places it and sets its look. This guide covers adding the widget and its settings.
Enable the Contact Form 7 Widget
Contact Form 7 is a Free widget and works with the free Atomic Addons plugin. It needs the free Contact Form 7 plugin: until that is active, the widget's card in the dashboard shows an Install Contact Form 7 button and cannot be turned on. Then switch it on:
- 1
Go to WordPress Dashboard → Atomic Addons.
- 2
Click the Widgets tab.
- 3
Search for Contact Form 7. You can also open the Forms / User category.
- 4
Turn the Contact Form 7 widget on.
- 5
Click Save Settings.
Add the Contact Form 7 Widget
Create your form first under Contact → Contact Forms, then:
- 1
Open the page in Elementor (Edit with Elementor).
- 2
In the widget panel, search for Contact Form 7. The widget sits in the Atomic Addons category.
- 3
Drag it into the page and set it up with the controls below.
- 4
Click Publish (or Update).
Layout
Open the widget and go to Content → Layout:
- 1
Select Form: The Contact Form 7 form to show. The list says “No contact forms found” while you have none. Until you pick one, the editor shows a reminder and visitors see nothing.
- 2
Space Between: The space under each row of the form, 16px by default.
Style the Contact Form 7
Everything below is on the Style tab:
- Label — color and typography.
- Input — placeholder and text colors, the text color of other field types, background, Textarea Height, padding, Element Space, a border (turn on Border Style), border radius and typography.
- Submit Button — colors, border, radius, padding, typography and alignment, with a Hover state.
- Additional Option — Fullwidth Input, Fullwidth Texarea and Fullwidth Button stretch those parts across the form.
